Working Student Program

Equest Farm offers a robust Working Student program for current riding school students ages 12 and up. The program offers hands-on practical experience in horsemanship as well as an opportunity to work closely with our staff. The program is designed to provide responsibilities in a “real world” working barn environment. These responsibilities include daily barn duties such as tacking, grooming, turnout, and maintaining an efficient schedule to support instructors during afternoon lessons. Benefits of becoming a working student include a free group Working Student riding lesson, access to on-sight clinics and guest trainers, and an annual weekend retreat to Leslie Kramer’s farm in Mississippi to trail ride and bond as a team. Please inquire in the office if interested in becoming a working student.
